you can also find this quote in the Bible, Matthew6:21...

This is such a beautiful quote, and it reminds us to get our priorities straight. Treasuring things like power, money, and material possessions says a lot about your heart. When we focus too much on things that don't really matter in the end, it messes with the things that really matter in life like our relationships.
Clearly this quote isn't saying you can't have nice things or make a lot of money, but treasuring them to the point of destruction to other important parts of your life (like family and friends) is not a good thing. Where is your heart?
I'm still linking up with Jenni's Blog Every Day in May Challenge. Are you?

ReplyDeleteWhy is Dumbledore such a genius!? Another one of my faves from HP: "And now, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, Adventure." Every time I think about traveling, I think about this quote. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm re-reading the series for the 10th time right now and it's still just as good as the first. :)
