My husband's job has us living in Arizona for now.
We never know what will happen in the airline industry,
but for now we're enjoying life in Arizona with our two children.
I'm Ashley, the author of this blog.
I was born in Texas, raised in northern Michigan, lived in Colorado (where I met my husband), moved to Florida, and I currently reside in Arizona with my family. Whew.
In the past year we bought our very first house and added another member to our family.
We've also made time for a little traveling in there too.
It sure has been a year of change.

some blog background
This blog began as an outlet for me to spill some thoughts while the pilot husband was gone, but it's morphed into so many other things. I will probably look back at this some day and laugh at how quickly things change.
One day I'm writing about our trip to the Hoover Dam,
the next day a restaurant that evokes a simpler time,
and now I find myself blogging about mom things.
This blog has been quite the evolving process. Not much different than life itself.

My husband is a commercial pilot (you can read more about that on my Fly World page), hence the title of this blog "Piloting Life". Due to his job, we packed up and moved from Colorado to Florida and now Arizona. At times it's difficult adjusting to a new location, but it's quite the learning experience! Many aspects of our life are up in the air, but we're excited to see what life has in store for us. For now I am enjoying this life with my husband and kids!
We're not perfect people but we love each other as perfectly as we know how.
