The Sunday Currently | 15

yesterday | Daytona Beach, Florida

reading today I'll be finishing up The Poisonwood Bible, and then I'll be looking for my next read. I keep hearing that Gone Girl is a good one, so maybe it'll be next. That or Little Women.
writing I haven't been in the writing mood lately, but I just might try and tackle a few blog post drafts today.
listening to the sound of the washing machine run through its rinse and spin cycle. There's nothing like the sound of a clean apartment. Ha!
thinking that our visit to Daytona Beach yesterday was a lot of fun, and next time we really need to rent beach cruisers and ride alongside the Atlantic.
smelling Bounce dryer sheets with febreze.
wishing for another trip to the beach soon. We really don't get there often enough.
hoping that we'll have visitors again sometime before this summer. I have a tough time convincing people to visit us during the summer months. Gosh, I wonder why...
wearing purple fleece pajama pants and a gray t-shirt. It's time for some weekend house(apartment)cleaning.
loving that we really don't live all that far away from Daytona Beach.
wanting another cup of coffee... especially after watching Dangerous Grounds on the Travel Channel. It will make you appreciate good coffee. I'm also wanting to hang the west elm curtains that I just purchased.
needing to eat something for lunch.
feeling thankful that my husband could visit with his friend this weekend.
clicking on some other Sunday Currently posts... and who knows what else.

  1. Haha. We were forced to visit Florida in July when my father in law decided to get married in Orlando. Surprisingly, it wasn't any hotter than here in Maryland. I despise Atlantic summers. Ugh.

In other news, we MAY come down to your neck of the woods over President's Day weekend. It's all just a thought right now. But I'll keep you posted. ;)

  2. Glad you had fun at the beach! Sounds like you're trying to take advantage of what Florida has to offer, which is great! (Even if you don't always love it:))

  3. Howcome you have a hard time convincing people to visit you in the summer (new reader, outta the loop, haha!)? I draft my blogposts as often as I can, too. I don't have a lot of time on weeknights & stare @ a computer all day at work so sometimes writing is the LAST thing I want to do at night. I am seriously loving participating in these Sunday currently posts. Can't wait for more & thanks for checking mine out!

    1. Hi Lindsay! Most of our friends and family have heard us complain about the Florida heat and humidity, so none of them seem to think coming here during the summer months would be any fun. :)

  7. ooooh, read little women! we can read at the same time & compare notes :) i'm not that far into it yet.

love the photo you took of daytona beach - it looks beautiful. we really don't go to the beach enough either - & we are seriously like ten minutes away from it. i partially blame that on how cold it's been recently. i'm going to check the weather later, though, & if it looks like it'll be a bit warmer, i may pack up my book & a blanket & spend a morning out there. that actually sounds perfect to me right now.

    happy monday!
