A Birthday to Remember

My husband surprised me with a trip to Michigan for my 30th birthday. I still cannot believe it's been just longer than a week since I found out we were going to spend my big day in the wintry north. People always say this, but time really does fly when you're having fun. This certainly was a birthday to remember.






Our trip to Michigan was such a whirlwind trip, it almost felt like it never happened. Thankfully I have the pictures to prove it did. I'll never forget being surprised by so many smiling faces    and cake and balloons. I also brought home a cold from Michigan, so I will keep this short.

It's always nice seeing a familiar face. Seeing snow on my birthday was an added bonus. Hopefully we'll get back to Michigan again soon!

Now I'm going to nurse my cold and possibly take a few days off from the blog world. For those observant readers out there, my hair is darker (thanks to my friend Amber) than before our trip to Michigan. I hope you're all having a lovely week. Stay healthy!

    I like snow.. to visit! I'm not sure I could live it in but visiting is always fun. Hopefully you will feel better soon!

    Snow!!! It must have been a nice change of scenery! :) It also sounds like an amazing way to spend your birthday. As far as the cold thing- my allergies (pollen - meh) are unreal. Hoping you feel better.

    I am so glad you got to stomp around in some quality snow! Good thing you didn't go this weekend... it looks like Nemo is making travel quite hard. I suppose he just wants people to start heading in one direction: P Sherman. 42 Wallaby Way Sydney

      Love the Nemo reference. At first I was browsing through the channel guide and thought Finding Nemo was on television, and then I realized I was looking at the Weather Channel. That storm name caused a little bit of confusion here. :)

    just looking at these photos has me jonesing for a trip to my own hometown - there is nothing like a gathering of old friends. i'm so glad this is how you got to spend your birthday! and LOVE your snowy outfit - those boots are so cute!
