Hello to everyone who has stuck around this long.
It's been a while since my last post... Christmas to be exact.
So there's that.
I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant. We only have about a month left
before leaving the hospital with a baby. It's sort of hard to believe.
This picture is from a month ago...
I'll do my best to have an updated one soon.
A lot has changed since this picture was taken. My belly is huge. We are definitely excited to meet our baby boy. We're about as prepared as you can be, but it still freaks me out a little bit. I can't believe we're going to be responsible for a tiny human being in just a few short weeks. It seems like not that long ago I barely had a bump, and we were telling our families about the baby-to-be.
At 37 weeks baby loves kicking me in the ribs... he's an active boy! I, on the other hand, have developed quite the sweet tooth. (Maybe that explains all of the kicking?) I was never big into junk food or sweets before being pregnant, except for ice cream, so it's been interesting trying to keep myself from eating an entire bag of Easter M&Ms. I'm hoping our little man hasn't developed the taste for sweets already! :-)
There are so many things
that have happened since my last blog post,
but here's a summary:
+ we took a short trip to Amelia Island and enjoyed some relaxation near the Atlantic Ocean
+ we've received countless UPS & FedEx deliveries from Babies R Us and Pottery Barn Kids
(I'm sure the delivery people are sick of visiting us)
+ I've been enjoying prenatal yoga classes
+ we installed the car seat and had it checked
+ we painted an accent wall in the nursery & our bedroom
+ we may or may not have enjoyed one too many Krispy Kreme donuts
+ we've taken classes to prepare us (as much as one can prepare) for birth and breastfeeding
+ we have piles of things ready to be packed in a hospital bag

We've kept busy with to-do lists and getting ready for baby, so I think that's helped the time pass. I have weekly doctor appointments now too. I feel pretty good other than intense hip pain, lack of quality sleep, and an ever expanding belly.
Any moms out there have tips for getting through the last few weeks of pregnancy?
I couldn't sleep either so I just lounged with me feet up a lot! :) you look great! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteOh boy! ;). You look adorable! I'm at 31 weeks and losing sleep by the night. I am learning just this week to take it easy but that's easier said than done!
ReplyDeleteYou are all belly! And you look great! I love the nursery and I just love that you guys took a trip to Amelia Island. We're heading to FL in a few weeks for a babymoon of sorts and almost decided to go there, but we are heading to Siesta Key instead. I'd say let's meet up but you'll probably have a newborn when we come down. So you'll be pretty busy. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! (And still want a blog post on cloth diapers from you....)
I delivered my first at 37 weeks...so, you could be there too!! Tips: rest and enjoy the time to yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou look great!
Eeeeek!!!! This is so exciting! I'm so so so happy for you guys! And you still look so tiny. Tell me your secrets. ;)
ReplyDeleteB and I are officially trying for babies now. It's so nerve racking thinking we'll too, be responsible for a tiny human being. Enjoy every day you can until baby boy arrives. xoxo
Okay, I tried to post a comment and I think I "Logged Out" before it published.
ReplyDeleteYou look super cute prego! I can't wait to read more blog posts pre and post baby! Shawn and I have Amelia Island on our bucket list of trips and magazine articles of it in our Travel Binder, it looks beautiful.
